How We Deliver

Through a partnership with EHP, our partner hospitals receive our StepOne Service℠, a comprehensive Acute Withdrawal Management package including implementation, clinical education, operating systems, and facility-level/corporate EHP personnel to facilitate service delivery. The StepOne Service℠package offers assistance in areas such as community education, quality of care, and dedicated support for navigating patients to the next level of treatment.

How We Help

In 2015, about 1 in 10 adults with substance use disorder received any (level of) substance abuse treatment in the past year.
— Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

Acute Withdrawal Management is provided to individuals who are in impending or early stages of acute withdrawal at the time of hospital admission. The goal is to medically assist the individual through the withdrawal process and help navigate the transition to an appropriate level of community-based addiction treatment that can address the underlying causes of their substance use disorder.

How We Work Together

EHP’s partnership model is structured such that the hospital bills for all patient care while EHP is compensated through a fee structure which includes a fixed monthly administrative fee for the introduction and on-going management of this service.
